Andrew Crawford
Director
Andrew is a co-founder of Senqu Capital. Before Senqu Capital he was Head of Business Development and Distribution at Capricorn Fund Managers, responsible for the management of all non-investment related activities for the South African business. Andrew has also played an executive role in a family business, and was with Investec Bank for 9 years as a founding member and head of trading for the Alternatives Business at Investec’s Private Client Securities, as well as various portfolio management and trading roles.
Stephen Carew
Director
Stephen is a co-founder of Senqu Capital. Before Senqu Capital he was a co-portfolio manager at Capricorn Fund Managers, responsible for the management of various South African hedge fund strategies. In addition, input into a Global Emerging Markets Long-Short strategy provided additional exposure outside South Africa. Stephen completed his accounting articles at Ernst & Young. He founded various Investment Partnerships which ran for over 9 years prior to joining the industry professionally.
Kgosi Mashigo
Analyst
Kgosi joined Senqu Capital as an analyst in 2017. Prior to that he worked for JP Morgan’s Mergers & Acquisitions team. He also spent time at Barclays Africa in Equity Capital Markets. He has a BCom (Hons) Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management from UCT; BCom (Hons) Monetary Economics & International Finance from UJ.
Dani Friedman
Analyst
Dani joined Senqu Capital as an analyst in 2022. Prior to that, he completed his accounting articles at Ernst & Young in 2021. Dani also worked at the University of Johannesburg as a junior finance lecturer where he specialized in Valuations, Costing and Company Analysis. Dani obtained his bachelor’s degree (Cum-Laude) from UJ and is a registered CA(SA).
